How does the test discover your Orixá?

Each Orixá rules a force of nature and a set of personality characteristics. Those of Ogum tend to be warriors and determined; those of Oxum, sweet and loving; those of Iansã, intense and courageous. This quiz crosses your answers with the archetypes that the tradition of Candomblé and Umbanda associates with each divinity.

The result points to the Orixá with whom you have the greatest temperament affinity and also shows secondary connections, since each person carries the influence of more than one Orixá (the primary one and the adjutant, called juntó).

Important: this is educational and self-knowledge content. The real definition of the head orixá (your Ori) is made by a babalorixá or ialorixá through the jogo de búzios, inside a house of the orixás. If you feel the calling, seek a trusted terreiro.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know which is my true Orixá? expand_more

This quiz is a playful gateway, based on the archetypes and personality that the tradition associates with each Orixá. The head orixá (Ori) is only confirmed definitively by a priest or priestess (babalorixá or ialorixá) through cowrie-shell divination, inside a terreiro.

Can I have more than one Orixá? expand_more

Yes. In the Afro-Brazilian tradition, each person usually has a front Orixá (the main regent) and an adjunct Orixá (juntó), in addition to the influences of others. Therefore, the result also shows which Orixás you have a strong connection with.

Is the test result a spiritual consultation? expand_more

No. It is educational content and for self-knowledge. For true spiritual guidance, with a reading of your path, schedule a consultation with Joice Mística.

What do I do after discovering my Orixá? expand_more

You can go deeper by reading the full page of your Orixá (with myth, herbs, offerings, and colors), set up your altar with the correct colors and items and, if you wish, seek a terreiro to get to know the religion up close.
