Dog's knot is a root of strength. Infused in garrafada or used in a ritual bath, it is sought by those who have lost physical disposition and need an impulse to return to the competition.
💡 "The name comes from the nodose shape of the root, full of irregular knots. In herb shops, it is sold in pieces that look like twisted branches."
Navigate through the different facets of the plant: from its native biome to the ritual preparation in the garrafada and in the terreiro.

Preferably perform on a Tuesday morning or at dusk. Light a white or red candle, firming your intention.
Boil the water in an enameled or stainless steel pot. Since it is a hard root, add the chopped dog knot and boil over low heat for 5 to 7 minutes to release the axé and active principles.
Turn off the heat, add the rosemary (aromatic leaves should not be boiled, only steamed) and cover the pot for 15 minutes.
Pour the infusion while visualizing your paths opening with vigor, courage, and the disposition of a warrior. Let it cool until it reaches a pleasant temperature for the skin.
Take your usual hygiene bath. Then, pour the infusion slowly FROM THE NECK DOWN, breathing deeply and decreeing the renewal of your strength. Do not rinse; dry yourself by dabbing gently with a clean towel.
Hypertensive and cardiac patients must consult a doctor. Do not use with stimulants. Ritual bath strictly from the neck down.

Nó de cachorro is a cerrado root with traditional use in the garrafadas of the Midwest and North of Brazil. It entered the terreiros through the caboclo and Exu lines, associated with brute force and the recovery of vigor.
In the traditional garrafadas of Central Brazil, the raizeiro masters recognized in the knotted shape of the root the living metaphor of firmeza: the capacity to tie knots in adversity and remain standing even in arid lands.
The name comes from the knotty shape of the root, full of irregular knots. In herb shops, it is sold in pieces that look like twisted branches.

Objective answers for practitioners, mediums, and spirituality enthusiasts.
No. Because it is a root classified as a hot herb (fire and earth), with high intensity of spiritual cleansing (descarrego) and propulsion, its ritual bath must be taken strictly from the neck down. The crown (ori) is reserved exclusively for cold and mild herbs (such as colônia, cotton, marjoram, or white rose petals).
