Why does each herb have an orixá?
In Afro-Brazilian religions, each leaf has an owner. Ossaim guards the secret of all of them, and each orixá has the leaves that carry its strength: the fresh and calm ones of Oxalá, the sweet ones of Oxum, the cutting ones of Ogum and of Exu.
Knowing the owner of the herb helps choose the right bath. A leaf of Oxalá calms and can go on the head; one of Exu and Ogum, like rue and guinea hen weed, is hot and stays from the neck down. See the difference in hot and cold herbs.
After playing, test if the herb is hot or cold in the hot or cold herb game, or discover which herbal bath to take now.
