Act of Faith

Actus Fidei

It is the prayer of those who feel their faith weakening and want to renew it with simple words. It ends with the request of the apostles: Lord, increase my faith.

My God, I believe in all that you have revealed and that the holy Church teaches us, because you can neither deceive nor be deceived.

And, expressly, I believe in you, the one and true God in three equal and distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit; and I believe in Jesus Christ, Son of God incarnate, dead and resurrected for us, and who will give to each, according to his works, the reward or eternal punishment. In this faith I want to live and die.

Lord, increase my faith. Amen.
