Our Lady 1 minute

Queen of Heaven (Regina Caeli)

Regina Caeli

It is the Marian prayer of Easter joy. From Easter until Pentecost, it takes the place of the Angelus at 6am, at noon, and at 6pm.

V. Queen of heaven, rejoice, alleluia!

R. For he whom you merited to bring in your womb, alleluia!

V. Has risen as he said, alleluia!

R. Pray for us to God, alleluia!

V. Rejoice and exult, O Virgin Mary, alleluia!

R. For the Lord has truly risen, alleluia!

Let us pray. O God, who filled the world with joy with the resurrection of your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, grant, we ask of you, that through the intercession of the Virgin Mary, his Mother, we may reach the joys of eternal life. Through Christ, Our Lord. Amen.

Our Lady Hail, Holy Queen It closes the rosary and is the prayer of those in the valley of tears: it asks Mary, mother of mercy, to look over us and show us Jesus. Our Lady Holy Rosary (Terço) and Rosary The rosary meditates on the life of Jesus with Mary in five mysteries, each with one Our Father, ten Hail Marys and one Glory Be. The four groups of mysteries form the complete rosary. Our Lady To your protection (Sub tuum praesidium) It is the oldest prayer to Mary known, found on a papyrus from the 3rd century. It asks that Our Lady deliver from all dangers. Our Lady Prayer for the health of the soul and the body It is the prayer that closes the litany of Our Lady in the rosary. In a few lines, it asks for health of the soul and the body and relief from current sorrows. Our Lady Remember (Memorare) It is the plea of someone who has already tried everything: it reminds Mary that it has never been heard that someone turned to her and remained helpless. Attributed to Saint Bernard. Our Lady Angelus (The Angel of the Lord) It recalls the angel's announcement to Mary and the incarnation of Jesus. By tradition, it is prayed three times a day: at 6am, at noon, and at 6pm, when the bell rings. During the Easter season, it is replaced by Queen of Heaven.
