My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God, my Savior, because he has looked upon the humility of his servant: from this day forward, all generations will call me blessed.
The Almighty has done wonders in me: holy is his name. His mercy extends from generation to generation over those who fear him.
He manifested the power of his arm and scattered the proud. He cast down the powerful from their thrones and exalted the humble. To the hungry he filled with goods and the rich he sent away empty-handed.
He has helped Israel, his servant, mindful of his mercy, as he promised to our fathers, to Abraham and his descendants forever.
Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, now and forever. Amen.
